Local area plans take into account neighbourhood features and work hand-in-hand with the citywide policies in Mississauga’s Official Plan.
This most recent draft of the Lakeview Local Area Plan is the result of a City study conducted to ensure that land use policies for the community are up-to-date. Local area plans are reviewed regularly to make sure changes in local circumstances are taken into account, and new provincial, regional and city policies are reflected. The draft plan takes into consideration the comments the City has received through public engagement activities to date.
